About Honu Kai House:
All our rooms are well appointed and give you the feel of a tropical plantation. All feature luxurious bedding, mountains of pillows, thick fluffy towels, comfy cotton robes, CD clock radio, stationery, toiletries, hair dryers, iron & ironing boards, luggage racks, clothes drying racks and hampers.
Honu Kai has WiFi access and each room has a flat screen TV with cable and DVD player. So bring your own movie, or choose from our ever expanding video library . . . don't forget to make some popcorn first!
A large jacuzzi tub surrounded by tropical foliage creates a bubbly garden jungle experience and is a wonderful place to ease back and watch the moon rise, or the diamond sparkle of the stars in the clearest skies around.
Our rock walled grounds are 1 1/3 acres in size, alternately shaded and sunny, with a spacious open front lawn. The mature landscaping includes palms, coffee, mango, papaya, macadamia nut, avocado and other fruit trees. Sample the fresh fruits at any time.
A novelty for any property, Honu Kai has a genuine Imu, a Hawaiian underground oven, discovered when the land was originally cleared. Although we don’t use it, be sure to check it out and see how the Hawaiian’s used to cook.
Guests have Lanai access to the coffee/tea station, microwave, paper plates, plastic flatware, napkins and a large shared refrigerator with room specific shelves.
Free use of all beach gear — chairs, bags, towels, coolers, boogie boards, sunscreens, snorkel equipment.
Laundry facilities are on premise and are available to our guests at NO CHARGE.
Owners provide concierge services and have an excellent knowledge of the island, tours, restaurants and private air & ground transportation.
Massage-in-room is also available with 2 days notice.
In order to create a peaceful experience, Honu Kai is restricted to adults only, no one under 18 years old please. The only exception is if the whole house is group booked for a minimum of 6 nights. |

A full breakfast, varied daily, is served on the lanai along with tropical fruits, fresh breakfast breads, Kona coffee, teas & juices. Breakfast favorites include, Dave's famous breakfast burrito, lox & bagels, quiches, waffles and local dishes like 'Loco Moco'. Breakfast is tailored to your dietary needs.

Nigori Master Suite — $165

This oversized room offers a Cal King sized bed, with Asian inspired furnishings and a calming view of the garden. The private tiled tub area has a sunken bath & shower and a large closet. The west facing sliding glass doors open onto a secluded deck.
Lani Suite — $155

This 2nd story room has a bright airy feeling, with a vaulted roof and tropical ceiling fan, with garden views and a private bathroom with bath tub. Old Hawaiian Royalty carved 4 post, Cal King sized bed, and comfy wicker chairs. French doors open onto the spacious roof top deck make this room very sunshiny and attractive.
Mahina Suite — $145
ADDITIONAL VIEWBATHROOM VIEW
Among the tree tops, this 2nd story room has a vaulted roof and ceiling fan, giving it a spacious green feel. It offers a lovely garden view looking back up the mountain. A private bathroom with shower is attached and this room also has access to the delightful roof top deck area. Bamboo and wicker furniture offer a tropical feel, completed with a Queen sized bed.
Mala Hale Bungalow — $180

Set amongst large trees, this spacious ground floor unit offers self-contained living. Featuring a kitchenette, living room, separate bathroom with a tub/shower and a bedroom with garden views, Queen sized bed and ceiling fan. It also boasts a private lanai patio area.
- All rates are per night, based on double occupancy with a two-night minimum.
- 50% deposit required for reservation with balance due upon arrival. (100% deposit on 1 or 2 night stays)
- Rates do not include 12.42% Hawaii state room tax.
- Rates are subject to change without notice, until confirmation.
- 10% discount on stays of 6 nights or more.
- One-night stays available at an additional $25.00/room.
- Cancellations prior to 30 days of stay are fully refundable. Within 30 days, only if room is re-booked.
- Honu Kai is non-smoking indoors.

If a large group wants exclusive use of Honu Kai a fifth room, the Honu master suite & bath, is also available.
